Pet Grooming

Grooming is available Monday through Friday 7am-7pm by appointment only. We use the Hydro-Surge bathing system, which is like a massage for your pet. Our Master-groomers have 15+ years of experience to bring out the best in your dog or cat. Good skin and coat care is important for the overall health of any pet. Medical examination and services can be done on the same day. Pets must be current on all vaccines for their protection.

The clinic has two groomers on staff. Our groomers offer a full array of styles, cuts and can accommodate any specific customer request.

A report card
The report card informs the pet owner of any problems noticed during the groom, how your pet enjoyed the groom and tips on how to care for your pets new hair style.

Bathing
The clinic also offers bathing for pets of all sizes. The bather also performs medicated baths treatment for pets with sensitive skin, flaky skin or fleas and ticks.

Reasons For Grooming

Grooming is an important part of dog care. Depending on the breed, age, and health of the dog, grooming may be a daily activity. Many breeds require significantly less grooming than this, but regular grooming helps to ensure the dog is healthy and comfortable. It is important to note that while many dogs shed, others (such as the Poodle), do not shed . Instead, their coat grows much like human hair and therefore requires trimming.

The main reasons for daily grooming include:

* improved health of the skin and coat
* decreased chance of various health problems, such as thrush, scratches, and other skin problems
* general cleanliness of the dog
* monitoring of the dog's health by checking for cuts, heat, swelling, lameness, or changes in temperament (such as depression) , all of which could be indicative of illness
* forging of a closer relationship between dog and owner
